Today we will practice writing with descriptive details. (Before the next class, the first draft of your two stories are due!)
1. Click HERE to do learn about writing descriptive details for stories.
Homework:
Write the two stories before the next class on Google Docs.
-- Make sure you included all the aspects we have practiced (descriptive details; transition words; writing in the past tense;).
>> Review the activities on this page and check my example again HERE.
>> Check the grade form here.
-- Each story should have at least 300 words. If it has less, it is probably not detailed enough to interest your readers. Add descriptive details (adjective, the 5 senses, action). Check the questions from your group, and include these details (for the stories you chose) when you write details for your stories.
-- After writing one draft, edit the writing so that there is perfect grammar and vocabulary use. (Remember that we practice perfect writing for our writing assignment, but your blog is more flexible. It is okay if you have some mistakes on your blog writing, because it is informal and the purpose is communication.)
-- See How To Use Google Docs text instructions and/or the video instructions here. >>> SHARE YOUR ESSAY HERE ON PAGE 2 by making a link <<<.
I look forward to reading your stories!!!!!
Because you have your stories due next week, you do not need to write your weekly blog this week (if you are up to date.)
